A LITTLE
TOURIST
Before I tell you my story, let me introduce myself. My name is Danae and I’m a university student living in Athens, Greece.

It all began on a hot summer day; I was on a little excursion with my friends and we were going to the beach. Maybe it was the straw hat or the sun dress, the sandals or the backpack, the blond hair or the fair skin... Or maybe it was all of that, combined. "You look so much like a tourist!" my friends teased me over and over.
It stuck; I was officially nicknamed "the tourist". And, to tell you the truth, it was quite an accurate nickname. I've travelled to a few places, both in Greece and abroad - in fact, I've been to 13 foreign countries by now: Turkey, Albania, Bosnia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, FYROM, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, France, England... and counting!

Eventually, I decided to embrace my friends' jokes about my tourist-ness by starting this blog. I will be sharing stories about exciting things I've seen and done while on my travels; both as a collection of memories, and as tips and inspiration to any future visitors!
